  Me and my wife recently moved to the New Orleans area and after trying another Orthodox Church, came to St Basil. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the message that Fr. Peter delievered on our first Sunday. The format of the Divine Liturgy is in the Byzantine style, so coming from the American and Russian backgrounds the service felt very familiar to the both of us, and we have been attending since. The church is not on a major road, but wasnt overly difficult to find if you use Goggle Maps (easiest access is from W Esplanade, its on the backside of East Jefferson General Hospital). Although St Basil isnt nearly the size of our previous church it has a very warm and inviting congregation, with a lot of southern charm. We are proud to call it our new church home.

  Sunday: Orthros, 8:30 A.M.; Divine Liturgy, 9:30 A.M.
